Dr. Khawaja Azimuddin

Dr. Khawaja Azimuddin is the founder of the Islamic Arts Society, which aims to share the rich heritage of Islamic Arts. He organizes the Islamic Arts Festival every fall in Houston, the largest festival of its kind in North America. He has lectured and written extensively on Islamic Arts.
Being a Ceramic Tile artist himself, he has deep insight into the connection between art and Islam. Some of his large-scale murals are on permanent display in Houston. By profession, he is a colon-rectal surgeon, a scientist, and a published author.
